"AMANDAS CHARITY"

Stargate is helping!
Fans are helping Amanda to give help

Amanda Tapping has always used her talents for the good of others, and has supported dozens of charities through her personal appearances at congresses and through her work.

So it was no surprise for her fans to hear that she and Damian Kindler and Jill Bodie founded "Sanctuary for Kids" in 2009. This nonprofit ran resources on projects involving children around the world and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for such projects around the world through online memorabilia auctions, fan experiences and their own fundraising convention in the UK, every 18 months by Gabit Events, was carried out. After they had achieved what they set out to do, the charitable event closed its doors after 9 years in December 2018. The funds raised through fans, friends, events and fundraisers over these years have accomplished so much and left a legacy that will never be forgotten and that has changed the world.

Although Sanctuary for Kids closed in 2018, Amanda continues to support many charities, including:

Waterkeeper Alliance,
Multiple Sclerosis Society,
Pollution Probe,
Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals,
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People,
Nepal Orphans Home

Her fandom is generous, compassionate, and extremely loyal to her Grand Empress of Sci Fi. Amanda is always happy to meet them when attending events or performing somewhere. If you want to get involved and support Amanda's projects, you should visit the website of "Gabit Events" [gabitevents.com].

Delphine Landais from France, who is an excellent illustrator and a Stargate fan, had a really great idea. She draws pictures of the stars from Stargate and sells them. 100% of the proceeds go to the aid organization "Nepal Orphans Home". If you want to purchase one of her works of art and want to support Amanda's charity with it, you should take a look at theses websites:
